‘ Thor’ in dispute with landlord

Mets pitcher Noah Syndergaar­d was sued by his New York landlord, who claims Syndergaar­d did not pay his $ 27,000- amonth rent that started in late March on the lower Manhattan penthouse. The lawsuit seeks $ 250,000, the value of the lease.

Syndergaar­d took to Twitter on Saturday to give his side, saying he offered to pay two months’ rent and gave notice he wouldn’t move in because of the pandemic. Tweeted the pitcher, “See you in court, pal.”

♦ Yankees left- hander James Paxton, who had back surgery in February, said he’s “back to full strength” and ready to go whenever the season begins. Paxton underwent a microscopi­c lumbar discectomy Feb. 5 in which a herniated disk was repaired and a peridiscal cyst was removed.

♦ The Nationals changed their plans for their virtual World Series ring ceremony after players decided they would rather wait until they could reunite in person to receive their jewelry.
