According to cannibal Hannibal Lecter in the 1991 movie The Silence of the Lambs, the world is a more interesting place with Clarice Starling in it. Now a new CBS crime series, Clarice (Feb. 11), takes a deep dive into the untold backstory of the young FBI agent (Rebecca Breeds), exploring what draws monsters and madmen to the character originally played by Jodie Foster. “It’s only human to be a little nervous about taking on such an iconic role,” says Breeds, 33, who played Nicole Gordon in Pretty Little Liars.
