Ramblers’ 30-game home win streak ends

Isiaih Mosley scored 40 points, and Missouri State ended No. 22 Loyola’s 30-game home winning streak with a 79-69 victory Saturday in Missouri Valley Conference action at Gentile Arena. Mosley is averaging 34.4 points in his last five games.

The Ramblers (14-3, 5-1 MVC) had won 10 games in a row overall, and their 30-game home winning streak was the fourth-longest active run in Division I.

The Bears (15-6, 6-2) led 35-33 at halftime, then began the second half with a 27-9 burst to open a 20-point lead. Missouri State, which won its fourth consecutiv­e game, shot 60.9% in the second half and 53.8% overall to earn its first victory against a ranked team since Dec. 28, 2011.

‘‘That middle of the game, we lost discipline,’’ Loyola coach Drew Valentine said. ‘‘I thought it was because we were missing shots, and it transferre­d over to our defense.’’

Braden Norris scored 16 points and Lucas Williamson 11 for the Ramblers, who cut their 20-point deficit to six on a three-pointer by Ryan Schwieger with 1:23 left but got no closer.

Creighton 60, DePaul 47

Ryan Kalkbrenne­r scored 18 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, and the Bluejays (12-5, 4-2) held the Blue Demons (10-8, 1-7) to 15 points in the second half to rally for a Big East victory in Omaha, Nebraska.

Jalen Terry scored 11 points and was the only player in double figures for DePaul, which led 32-23 at the break but was outscored 37-15 in the second half.

Wright State 97, UIC 81

Tanner Holden led all five starters in double figures with 36 points, and the Raiders (11-8, 8-2) shot 55.9% from the field to earn a Horizon League victory against the Flames (7-10, 3-5) at Credit Union 1 Arena.

Damaria Franklin scored 25 points to lead five players in double figures for UIC, which lost its second consecutiv­e home game after a three-game winning streak.

Notre Dame 82, Louisville 70

Blake Wesley led four players in double figures with 22 points, and the Fighting Irish (12-6, 5-2) shot 15-for-23 from three-point range on their way to an Atlantic Coast Conference victory against the Cardinals (11-8, 5-4) in Louisville, Kentucky.

Notre Dame shot 67% from the field overall en route to ending a six-game losing streak against Louisville.

Minnesota 68, Rutgers 65

Payton Willis matched a program record with eight three-pointers on his way to a career-high 32 points, and the Golden Gophers (11-5, 2-5) overcame the absence of three starters and ended a four-game losing streak by slipping past the Scarlet Knights (11-7, 5-3) in Big Ten play in Minneapoli­s.
