Currently: Teams can designate franchise or transition players.

March 1-7: NFL Scouting Combine, Lucas Oil Stadium, Indianapolis.

March 8: Deadline for teams to designate franchise or transition players, 3 p.m.

March 14-16: Teams can begin contract negotiations with players who will become unrestricted free agents. March 16: New league year and freeagency period begin at 3 p.m.

April 4: Teams that hired a new head coach after the 2021 season can begin offseason workout programs.

April 28-30: NFL Draft, Las Vegas.
