Frederick Collins was born on Chicago’s Greater Westside on February 20, 1969. He was raised by two loving and hardworking African-American parents who instilled in him the traditional American values of truth, honesty, justice, respect, and love for his fellow man. From these humble beginnings, Frederick’s desire was to one day serve and protect the innocent and uphold the law. He has been active in politics, community activism and public service since he was 17 years old.

PUBLIC SAFETY PLAN

My public safety plan will first strictly enforce our City of Chicago “Curfew Laws,” thus making sure that our children are safe at home and not out on the streets committing crimes or becoming victims of a crime.

Number (#2) of my plan would be to immediately choose a New Superintendent for the Chicago Police Department from the City of Chicago and from within its ranks. I will also remove the useless and destructive policies implemented by the previous administration that has severely hamstrung our brave men and women in uniform from effectively being able to do their job of protecting the citizens of this great city. Also, under my administration, the violent offenders who seek to commit carjackings, senseless shootings, and brazen robbery of businesses will be placed on notice on day one that their reign of terrorizing the taxpaying citizens of our city will be over. I will do what is legally necessary to protect our children, citizens, and businesses of our great city of Chicago.

The (#3rd) part of my plan is to immediately start the hiring and recruitment of “20,000 New Chicago Police officers” within four years and the promotion of “3,000 New Chicago police Detectives” to better handle current crimes as well as a backlog of cold cases.

The (#4th) part of my public safety strategy plan will be to bring back the Chicago Police Department specialized deployment units citywide such as the Chicago Police tact teams, gun team units, CTA transit undercover and uniform units, as well as gang crimes undercover units, to deal with and gather intelligence into better preventing street crimes.

The (#5) part of my administration’s public safety plan is to combat Human Trafficking of our young men and women. I will team up with Cook County Law Enforcement Agencies, Illinois State Police. National Federal Law Enforcement Agencies to cross-reference intelligence gathering to make sure we use all the legal tools at our disposal to track down and hold these criminal individuals and organized crime networks accountable to bring our young boys and girls back home to their families loved ones because no parent should have to worry about their child being snatched off the streets of our city and becoming victims of such a heinous crime.”

CHICAGO SCHOOL PLAN

I will work immediately toward an implementation of a Chicago ELECTED SCHOOL BOARD coupled with the CTU and Chicago public school Parents. To maximize a unified collective effort to develop real-time improvement strategies and policies in READING, MATH, SCIENCE, and CRITICAL THINKING METHODS to give our Chicago students the advantage to compete with other students worldwide.

• Mayor Collins will bring back the use of attendance officers to help combat chronic absenteeism and increase Chicago Public Schools’ attendance rate by 97%.

• Mayor Collins will implement a new initiative program to provide an associate professional labors degree to Chicago students who maintain a B average for four years of their high school education. And for those Chicago students who Participated in the above new program started by Mayor Collins, these students will be able to attend any City of Chicago College FREE OF CHARGE to further their education. It will be paid for by the City of Chicago, including all books and tuition fees.

• Mayor Frederick Collins will also do away with cold bagged lunch and bring back “HOT MEALS” only to all Chicago public schools with a certified fully staffed kitchen crew to serve our Chicago students and staff a HOT HEALTHY MEAL” for breakfast and lunch as well as a light meal for our Chicago students and staff who attended after school activities.

• Mayor Collins will also work side by side with The CTU and Chicago public school parents to make sure that a plan is for smaller student class sizes, a teacher aid or two for each classroom, and two school nurses in every Chicago public school.

• Mayor Collins will immediately terminate the Aramark contract and return all custodians and engineers under the purview of the Chicago Public Schools to ensure that everyone from teachers and staff to students is on the same page when it comes to keeping their schools clean

ECONOMY PLAN

Mayor Collins’s proposal is for a “FIFTEEN -YEAR PROPERTY TAX FREEZE” for home, business, and commercial property owners. Due to the COVID- 19 Pandemic and economy shut down, this “PROPERTY TAX-FREEZE” would allow for individuals to get back on track and have a fresh start within their business and homeownership. Mayor Collins understands the needs of the business community and struggling homeowners.

#1. Mayor Collins will formulate an easy and accessible business committee to aid and work side by side with those struggling in business and those who want to start a new business.

This committee will be composed of successful business owners who could guide new upstarts and current struggling owners with insight, funding, and steps toward success. This collaboration by Mayor Frederick Collins will help strengthen and elevate Chicago’s current economy while creating another 300,000 job’s within our great city of Chicago.

#2. Mayor Collins will also eliminate and do away with the resident’s fifty-fifty sidewalk programs of the past. His vision is that the city should take responsibility for the streets and sidewalks maintenance. It will no longer be the burden of the citizen to pay half for the city’s sidewalks and driveways.

#3. Mayor Collins will also establish a responsive pothole hotline, whereas reports are taken and acted on a Twenty four hour period. This has always been a significant burden for the citizens of Chicago In all areas.

#4. Mayor Collins will also implement a city-funded program that works within a partnership with community churches and Non-profit organizations to help provide housing, job training, and employment opportunities to all who want to work, including those with a non criminal violence past and are willing to enhance their job skills.
