TEARS FOR ADAM TOLEDO
Rabbi Michael Ben Yosef and Chantell Brooks comfort 7-year-old Annabel Lopez on Saturday at a rally in Federal Plaza in which protesters demanded justice for Adam Toledo and Anthony Alvarez, who were fatally shot in separate incidents by Chicago police officers last year. Lopez, Toledo’s cousin, spoke at the rally and teared up when she talked about how much she misses him. Last month, Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx said she would not pursue criminal charges against the officers who killed Toledo and Alvarez.
