July 24 —Hall of Fame induction ceremonies, Cooperstown, N.Y. Inductees: David Ortiz (BBWAA vote); Buck O’Neil and Bud Fowler (Early Baseball Era committee); Minnie Miñoso, Gil Hodges, Jim Kaat, and Tony Oliva (Golden Days Era committee).
July 25 — Deadline for agreement between MLB and players’ association for 2024 international amateur draft.
July 28-Aug. 3 — Last day during the season to trade a player.
Aug. 11 — Cubs vs. Reds, Field of Dreams game at Dyersville, Iowa. Aug. 21 — Boston vs. Baltimore at Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
Aug. 31 — Last day to be contracted to an organization and be eligible for postseason roster.
