Anne Marie Kirchwehm beloved wife of Chester Swidergal passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2022, at the age of 53 at Northweste­rn Memorial Hospital, peacefully surrounded by her family. She was affectiona­tely called Mimi by her family, and Annie by her friends and colleagues. Anne is predecease­d by her father, Ronald Kirchwehm. She is survived by her husband Chester Swidergal, his extended family, her mother Margaret Kirchwehm, sister Susan Marie Dlouhy (William), brother Michael Kirchwehm (Jennie), her nieces Taylor Kirchwehm (Adam Behnke), Hannah Kirchwehm, Ashley Dlouhy, nephew Michael W. Kirchwehm, and aunt Ann Rackas Pate (Jimmy, deceased).

Anne, with her identical twin, Susan Marie, was born on December 12, 1968, in Chicago, Illinois. She attended Harr y E. Fr y Elementar y School in Burbank, IL and was baptized, given first communion, and confirmed (Thom Soukup - Sponsor) at St. Fabian Catholic Church in Bridgeview, IL. Following her high school graduation from Mount Assisi Academy in Lemont, IL Anne attended Moraine Valley Community College, where she graduated as a Radiologic Technologi­st. Upon graduation, Anne went to work at Loyola University Medical Center on June 23, 1990 and had an illustriou­s 30-year career in the Radiology Department. Her hospital family knew her as Annie, the fun loving, diligent, fanatical Cub fan. Annie leaves behind many close friends, colleagues, and a lasting impression on those that she led, mentored and cared for. Her perseveran­ce and dedication in attending to ICU bound patients throughout the pandemic was astonishin­g and heroic.

Anne was deeply treasured by everyone, and she loved her family and friends immensely. Anne will be missed by all who were lucky enough to know her. Her family would like to send gratitude and appreciati­on to her many friends who have sent messages of love and support. A Celebratio­n of Life to honor Anne will be held at the St. Damian Catholic Church 5250 155th St., Oak Forest, IL at 10:00AM on Saturday, June 18, 2022. Anne’s ashes will be scattered over the same place where her father’s ashes are, at Carillon Golf Course in Plainfield, IL.
