Julie Ann Abdallah passed away on November 28, 2022 at the age of 55 after a courageous 6 year battle with cancer in Encinitas, California.

Julie is survived by her son Sam and his new bride Cam, daughter Katie, her brothers Mike and Chris, her sisters Jennifer, Amy and Carrie, her mother Joan and her father John. She is preceded in death by her devoted husband, David.

Julie was born on October 3, 1967 in Honolulu, Hawaii. She graduated with a degree in Human Resources from California State University in Long Beach in 1990 and joined Deloitte & Touche, where she met Dave. Julie and Dave married in 1995 and shortly thereafter relocated to Connecticu­t. Due to Dave’s career, they relocated several more times throughout their years together, spending 5 years in Torrance, CA, 2 years in Bloomfield Hills, MI, 6 years in Ridgefield, CT and 10 years in Lake Forest, IL. She moved to Carlsbad, CA in 2020 to be near her family and the beach.

Julie was an extremely devoted wife and mother, a dedicated philanthro­pist and a loyal friend. She truly cherished her family above all else. Along with her sisters and mother, Julie started the Hat Box Foundation in 2007 to provide hand knitted hats to cancer patients. She also loved volunteeri­ng for The Beacon Place in Waukegan, IL, and Mothers Trust Foundation in Lake Forest. Julie always brought a smile with her to whatever she did and leaves many friends behind from all over the country. The family will be hosting a memorial service at 3:30 on January 6th on Moonlight Beach in Encinitas, CA. Julie’s friends in Lake Forest will also be hosting an additional memorial on January 12th at 4:00 at the Gorton Community Center. In lieu of flowers, donations in Julie’s memory can be made to The Beacon Place, 603 S. McAlister Ave. Waukegan, Illinois 60085.
