Sun-Times joins fight against heart disease
The Chicago Sun-Times said Wednesday it will donate a portion of all individual newspaper sales Feb. 5 to Go Red for Women, the American Heart Association’s national movement to fight heart disease, the No. 1 killer of American women.
The Sun-Times will donate 10 cents for each paper bought from retailers, street vendors or newspaper boxes that day at the regular newsstand price of 75 cents. The paper intends to make a minimum commitment of $12,250 to a maximum of $15,000.
Companies that want to support Go Red for Women by pre-ordering papers to give to customers or employees should contact Kristen Davis at (312) 321-2163. Orders must be placed by Monday.
“The Chicago Sun-Times is delighted to partner with Go Red for Women and the American Heart Association to support this very important and worthwhile cause,” said Barbara Swanson, SunTimes Media senior vice president of advertising and marketing.
