Twins, rookie Hicks tame Tigers’ streak
Rookie Aaron Hicks’ linedrive triple started a two-run rally in the seventh inning, and the Minnesota Twins went on to beat the host Detroit Tigers 6-2 on Wednesday, snapping their five-game win streak.
Hicks, a former first-round draft pick, was 8-for-73 before connecting with Bruce Rondon’s 101 mph fastball.
‘‘That was big for me,’’ Hicks said.
