Bruins, Rask strike deal

-

The Boston Bruins signed goalie to an eight-year contract. The Bruins said the annual salarycap hit is $7 million, but they didn’t reveal the total value of the deal.

Rask was 19-10-5 with a 2.00 goals-against average in the regular season, then had a 1.88 GAA in the playoffs, which ended with the Bruins losing to the Blackhawks in the Stanley Cup Final.

The St. Louis Blues traded winger David Perron (10 goals, 15 assists this past season) to the Edmonton Oilers for winger Magnus Paajarvi (nine goals, seven assists) and a second-round pick in the 2014 draft.

The Vancouver Canucks will host the Ottawa Senators for an outdoor game March 2 at BC Place.
