Beloved husband of Barbara (nee Lawler); loving father of Mareya (Eric) Marmoll, Katrina (Brian) Murrihy, Craig (Amanda) Nevels, Renee’ (Jack Richards) Nevels children of the late Kathleen (nee McNerney); Regina (Mark) Pestrak, Tamara (Craig) Belcher, and Elizabeth Barnard children of Beverly (nee Kara) Wasielewsk­i; beloved stepfather of Thomas Mullins, Richard Mullins and Sherry Barnvos; devoted grandfathe­r of Colin, Peyton, Joseph, Ellie and Patrick Marmoll, Jimmy and Nora Murrihy, Kathleen and Jack Nevels, Andrew, Gareth, and Karina Pestrak, Brittany (Joe) Ingram, Taylor Belcher, Timothy “TJ” (Amy Lindemann) Barnard, Alexandra Barnard, Kayla and Shawn Barnvos; cherished great-grandfathe­r of two; and cherished companion of Waldo; dearest brother-in-law of Virginia Nevels.

Preceded in death by his parents, James and Cecilia (nee Gaynor) Nevels; brother, Ronald Nevels; and grandson, Bryan Barnard.

Jim was a valued member of the Carillon Theatrical Community. He loved his wine, woodworkin­g, traveling and golf. He will be greatly missed by all.

Wake will be held on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at BeidelmanK­unsch Funeral Home & Crematory, 516 S. Washington, Naperville, IL. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 20, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, 2220 Lisson Rd., Naperville, IL (10:00 a.m.). Family and friends are requested to meet at church on Thursday for Mass. Interment Holy Sepulcher Cemetery
