Coffee shop to go after work-from-home crowd

-

Coffee shops with their free wi-fi have long been a temporary haven for an out-and-about business person. Now a Wicker Park coffee shop plans to make an even stronger play for the work-fromhome crowd. Ready Coffee was closed this week with a plan to reopen in mid-March under a new name and a new concept, DNAInfo.com reports. “It will be more focused on building an inspiring environment for people that work from home,” said Alyona Udartseva, a spokeswoman for the cafe. The cafe, at 1562 Milwaukee Ave., will have a print center and white boards on the walls. Manager John Grbac said he was going to bring in desks with built-in electrical outlets and might explore renting desks.
