Victory in Horizon for UIC

Kelsey Barlow scored 23 points on 8-for-10 shooting, and visiting UIC earned its first Horizon League victory of the season with an 80-58 rout Tuesday of Milwaukee.

Jordan Harks added 10 points, Pat Birt nine and Hayden Humes, Jay Parker and Marc Brown eight each for the Flames (6-23, 1-14), who shot 52 percent and led by as many as 29 points late in the second half on their way to ending a 17-game losing streak.

Kyle Kelm scored 12 points and Matt Tiby and Jordan Aaron 10 each for the Panthers (16-13, 6-9), who shot only 32 percent.

Minnesota 95, Iowa 89

Austin Hollins scored a career-high 27 points on 8-for-10 shooting, DeAndre Mathieu added 19 points and seven assists and the Golden Gophers snapped out of a monthlong slump with a Big Ten victory against the No. 20 Hawkeyes in Minneapoli­s.

Hollins made all seven of his free throws for Minnesota (18-11, 7-9), which won for only the third time in its last nine games by making 13 of 14 foul shots in the final 70 seconds. Charles Buggs came off the end of the bench to score a career-high 13 points for the Gophers.

Roy Devyn Marble scored 19 of his 24 points in the first half for Iowa (19-8, 8-6), which lost back-to-back games for the first time this season. Aaron White added 21 points for the Hawkeyes.

Wisconsin 69, Indiana 58

Sam Dekker led five players in double figures with 16 points, and the No. 14 Badgers used a huge second half to rally past the Hoosiers in Big Ten action in Madison, Wis.

Traevon Jackson added 14 points, Ben Brust 12, Josh Gasser 11 and Frank Kaminsky 10 for Wisconsin (23-5, 10-5), which trailed 29-19 at the half before outscoring Indiana (15-12, 5-9) by a 50-29 count after the break.

Yogi Ferrell scored 21 points and Noah Vonleh 18 for the Hoosiers, who controlled the first half and trailed only 44-41 before the Badgers used a 16-4 run to take command.

Missouri State 72, Loyola 56

Christian Kirk scored 16 points to carry the Bears (19-10, 9-8) to a Missouri Valley Conference victory against the Ramblers (9-20, 4-13) in Springfiel­d, Mo.

Keith Pickens added 14 points and Jarmar Gulley 10 points and 10 rebounds for Missouri State. Tony Nixon Jr. scored 15 points and Joe Crisman 14 for Loyola.
