Indians take two from Tigers
Carlos Santana hit a tiebreaking three-run double with two outs in the ninth inning, and the Cleveland Indians completed a doubleheader sweep with a 5-2 victory against the host Detroit Tigers. Joe Nathan (4-3) intentionally walked Michael Brantley to load the bases and set the stage for Santana.
In the opener, Corey Kluber (10-6) struck out 10 and finished an out short of a complete game, and Yan Gomes had three hits and three runs scored on his 27th birthday to fuel the Indians to a 6-2 victory.
