Race to Mackinac update
Winds are forecast to build better than originally expected for the 106th Chicago Yacht Club Race to Mackinac, which likely will make for a faster race. The bulk of the fleet set sail Saturday in the 333-mile race from Chicago to Mackinac Island, Michigan.
Infinite Diversion — a Hanse 630e owned by Joseph
Haas of Winnetka — led the cruisers, which left Friday afternoon, after one day. The first boats should reach the island late Sunday.
