Wilson, Edward J.

-

87 years. Proud Irishman and lifelong Canaryville resident lost his 16 month courageously fought battle with Cancer on July 18, 2014, surrounded by family.

Beloved husband of 37 years to Alice (nee Hollriegel); loving father of Linda (Dale) Chapman, Joe (Therese) Pirelli, and the late Hank (Sue) Pirelli; “Papa” of Julie (Mike) Bayless, D.J. (April) Murphy, Bill Murphy, Leann (Jonathon) Beasley, Jenny (Jerry) Hayes, Kristen (Mike) Kincinas, Katrina (Gene) Hyland, Rich and Mike Pirelli; great“Papa” of Hannah, Rachel, Eliza, Georgia, Jackson, Jerry, Collin, Tyler, Chloe, Leah and Gwen; dearest son of the late William (late Alice nee Finn); dear brother of the late Irene (late John) Shenberger, late William “Willie” (late Lil) Wilson, the late Frank (late Ann) Wilson, the late Alice Wilson, late Catherine “Dolly” (late George) Christensen; Uncle Eddie to many wonderful nieces and nephews; cousin and friend to all who knew him.

Above all Ed was a “Family Man”, that is how he wanted to be remembered. Family meant everything to him. He reveled in family events and gatherings. Ed possessed a keen sense of humor and loved satisfying his “sweet tooth” with Mary Janes, Bullseyes or Kolackys along with a hot cup of tea. The unquestioned patriarch of the family, his kindness, advice, fatherly wisdom and broad smile, will be sorely missed by all.
