Resilient FSU slips past Miami

Dalvin Cook scored his second touchdown of the game on a 26-yard run with 3:05 left, and No. 3 Florida State overcame a 16-point deficit to stay unbeaten with a 30-26 victory Saturday against intrastate rival Miami in Atlantic Coast Conference action in Miami Gardens, Florida.

The Seminoles (10-0, 7-0) trailed 23-7 early in the second quarter before rallying to win their 26th consecutiv­e game by defeating the Hurricanes (6-4, 3-3) for the fifth consecutiv­e time.

Miami reached Florida State’s 43 on its final drive before Brad Kaaya, who passed for 316 yards and two touchdowns, was picked off by the Seminoles’ Jalen Ramsey on fourth down with 39 seconds left.

TCU34, Kansas 30

Aaron Green ran for 128 yards and two touchdowns, Trevone Boykin passed for 330 yards and another score and the No. 4 Horned Frogs (9-1, 6-1) rallied from a 10-point deficit midway through the third quarter to fight off the spirited Jayhawks (3-7, 1-6) in Big 12 play in Lawrence, Kansas.

Todd Gurley ran for 138 yards and a touchdown in his return from a four-game ban for taking money for signing autographs, and Nick Chubb rushed for 144 yards and two more scores to lead the No. 15 Bulldogs (8-2, 6-2) to a Southeast- ern Conference rout of the No. 9 Tigers (7-3, 4-3) in Athens, Georgia.

Jamal Golden returned an intercepti­on 85 yards for a touchdown and Chris Milton returned one 62 yards for another score, and the No. 22 Yellow Jackets (9-2, 6-2) extended their winning streak to four games with an Atlantic Coast Conference victory against the No. 19 Tigers (7-3, 6-2) in Atlanta.
