Kenseth banned two races for wrecking Logano
NASCAR suspended Matt Kenseth for the next two races for intentionally wrecking fellow driver Joey Logano in an act of retaliation Sunday at Martinsville (Virginia) Speedway.
Kenseth was nine laps down when he deliberately drove Logano into the wall. The crash was payback for Logano wrecking Kenseth three races ago in an incident that ultimately led to Kenseth’s elimination from the Chase for the Sprint Cup playoffs.
Logano was leading at Martinsville, and a victory would have earned him a spot in the final four of the Chase. Now he is last in the eight-driver Chase field with two races left to earn a bid into the finale Nov. 22.
