Age 92, son of the late Joseph and the late Ida Zeinfeld; loving father of Andy (Suzanne), and Jay (Sandra) Zeinfeld; devoted grandfathe­r to Jonathan and Jacqueline Zeinfeld. Victor is survived by his dear brother, Art (Margaret) Zeinfeld. Victor had many close brothers and sisters, in memoriam to Seymour (Shirley), Louis (Norma), Morris (Beatrice) Zeinfeld, Bertha (Sam) Halpern, Minnette (Harry) Gibbons, and Sidney (Bill) Brandman. Victor had many nieces and nephews.

He was raised in Maywood, IL, the youngest of eight children. An avid sportsman, he excelled in sports. During his high school years he was on the basketball team and captain of tennis team winning numerous tournament­s. He attended Northweste­rn University in Illinois before joining the Army to serve in WWII. His early years were spent in the family grocery business in Maywood, IL. Then 40 years as a horseman took him around the country finally settling his family in Cypress, CA, where he later retired. He was a loving family man, successful in business, owning a world champion stable, loved to talk business and sports. Even in his later he years still enjoyed shooting basketball. Services will be Friday, January 8, 10:00 a.m. at

Weinstein and Piser Funeral Home, 111 Skokie Blvd, Wilmette. Info: 847-256-5700. Interment will follow at Menorah Gardens Cemetery, 2630 S. 17th St., Broadview. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributi­ons in Victor’s name may be made to the charity of your choice.
