-

Peter Jok scored 19 of his 23 points in the first half to help No. 16 Iowa build a huge lead, and the Hawkeyes went on to rout No. 4 Michigan State 76-59 on Thursday night in East Lansing, Michigan.

The Hawkeyes (13-3, 4-0 Big Ten) dominated the Spartans for the second time in two weeks and beat them on the road for the first time since 1993, ending an 18-game losing streak.

Michigan State (16-2, 3-2) was down by 22 points at halftime, its largest deficit at home since at least the 1996-97 season.

Denzel Valentine had a relatively lackluster game with 14 points, five assists and four rebounds for the stunned Spartans.

Green Bay 78, UIC 76

Turner Botz made a pair of free throws with one second remaining, lifting Green Bay to a Horizon League victory over host UIC.

After sinking the first free throw, Botz tried to miss the second but banked it in. He then stole the inbounds pass.

Paris Burns had given the Flames a 75-74 lead after his steal and layup before Khalil Small scored to put the Phoenix back on top with a minute left. Tai Odiase made one of two free throws for UIC to tie before Botz’s free throws.

Odiase blocked a career-high eight shots and had nine rebounds and 12 points for the Flames (2-13, 0-4). Dikembe Dixson scored 19 points for UIC.

UT Rio Grande Valley 82, Chicago State 72

Antonio Green scored 21 points and Texas-Rio Grande Valley beat Chicago State in Edinburg, Texas.

Green was 8 of 12 from the floor with five three-pointers and six assists for the Vaqueros (5-13, 1-2 Western Athletic Conference).

Kieran Woods led Chicago State (4-15, 0-3) with 16 points. Trayvon Palmer grabbed 15 boards, one off his career high.
