CTA adding service for auto show

The CTA will be adding extra bus service and offering free transfers to the Green Line this week for the 2016 Chicago Auto Show.

During the show, which is held in McCormick Place and runs through Sunday, L riders on the Red and Orange Lines can transfer for free at Roosevelt and Blue Line riders can transfer for free at Clark and Lake to catch a 63rd- bound Green Line train, according to a statement from the transit agency.

Brown and Pink Line riders can transfer free at Clark and Lake, State and Lake or Adams and Wabash elevated stations to a 63 rd bound Green Line train.

The No. 3 King Drive bus will run between Michigan and Chicago and McCormick Place every 20 minutes from 5 p. m. to 10: 30 p. m. on weekdays. During the weekend, this service will run from 8 a. m. until 10: 30 p. m.

An “Auto Show Bus” will run between Ogilvie Transporta­tion Center, Union Station, and La Salle Street Station to McCormick Place every 12 to 30 minutes on the weekdays and every 10 to 30 minutes on weekends from 8 a. m. until 10: 30 p. m.

“Auto Show Bus” or “Metra Stations/ Via Downtown” will be displayed on the buses depending on the direction of travel.

On the last Sunday of the show, both bus services will end at 8: 30 p. m.

Chicago man gets 17 years for Nebraska credit- union robbery

A Chicago man has been sentenced to more than 17 years in prison for robbing a credit union in Kearney, Nebraska.

In Lincoln, Nebraska, U. S. District Judge Richard Kopf sentenced 29- year- old Patrick Wigley on Friday to 17 years and six months in prison for the October robbery of the Kearney Eaton Employees Union.

A co- defendant, 27- yearold Thomas Dunlap, was sentenced last month to just over 11 years for his involvemen­t. A third defendant, 28- year- old Clifton Hudson, awaits trial.

Dunlap and Wigley entered the credit union on Oct. 17, Dunlap pulled a gun, and the men took the money from a teller’s drawer and vault after gathering employees into an office and binding their hands with zip ties.
