LaRoche hurts back

White Sox designated hitter/ first baseman Adam LaRoche hurt his lower right back swinging the bat and left with back spasms. LaRoche, who homered in his first game Friday, flied out to left field and popped out to third base, which was when he suffered the injury. LaRoche received treatment from trainer Herm Schneider. “It hurts,” he said as he left the ballpark. Manager Robin Ventura, who had said LaRoche was looking better after a poor 2015 season, said LaRoche would rest Sunday. “We’ll take a look at it and see where we go from there.”
