Kanter, Westbrook fuel Thunder win

Enes Kanter came off the bench to score 28 points on 12-for-13 shooting, Russell Westbrook had 25 points and 15 assists and the visiting Oklahoma City Thunder shot 53 percent on their way to a 119-108 victory Saturday against the Dallas Mavericks and a 3-1 lead in their first-round playoff series. The Thunder will go for the clincher at home Monday.

Kevin Durant added 19 points for the Thunder, but he was ejected late in the fourth quarter after being called for a flagrant foul for hitting the Mavericks’ Justin Anderson in the face. The NBA will review the play to determine whether Durant will be punished further.

Dirk Nowitzki had 27 points and eight rebounds and Raymond Felton 19 points and 11 assists for the Mavericks, who lost despite shooting 52 percent.

Jeremy Lin led a balanced offensive attack with 18 points, and the host Charlotte Hornets used an 18-0 run to break a tie in the third quarter on their way to a 96-80 victory against the Miami Heat in Game 3 of their first-round playoff series.

Luol Deng scored 19 points to pace the Heat, who were held to 34 percent shooting but still lead the series 2-1. Game 4 is scheduled for Monday in Charlotte, North Carolina.

George Hill and Ian Mahinmi each scored 22 points, Paul George added 19 and the Indiana Pacers topped the visiting Toronto Raptors 100-83 to tie their first-round playoff series at two games each. Game 5 is set for Tuesday in Toronto.

Damian Lillard scored 32 points and C.J. McCollum 27, and the host Portland Trail Blazers fought off the Los Angeles Clippers 96-88 to reduce their deficit in the first-round playoff series to 2-1. Game 4 is scheduled for Monday in Portland, Oregon.

Reigning NBA most valuable player Stephen Curry is expected to play in Game 4 of the Golden State Warriors’ first-round playoff series Sunday against the Houston Rockets. He missed the last two games with a sprained right ankle.
