GREEN BAY, Wis. — While the Bears were playing Thursday night, Robbie Gould was landing a job.

The former Bears kicker flew to London to join the New York Giants before their game Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams, according to ESPN and NFL Network.

The Bears’ all- time leading scorer replaces Josh Brown, who was not on the Giants’ team flight after police documents were released Wednesday detailing domestic violence by Brown against his wife.

Gould was one of two kickers to work out for the Dallas Cowboys this month before Dan Bailey’s back injury proved mild enough to keep Bailey on the roster.

The Bears released Gould on Sept. 4, saying they preferred Connor Barth’s accuracy from midrange. Gould’s 85.4 percent conversion rate on 323 attempts was a franchise record and ninth- best in NFL history.

Gould could see his old team next month. The Giants host the Bears on Nov. 20.

No reunion for Sitton

Guard Josh Sitton’s faceoff with his former team, the Green Bay Packers, was limited to pregame chat while wearing a walking boot. He hurt his right ankle on the second- to- last play of the Bears’ loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday and was inactive Thursday.

While playing for the Packers from 2008 to 2015, the three- time Pro Bowl player had consecutivegame streaks of 59 and 75 games. His streak with the Bears ended at six.

The schedule is on Sitton’s side. The Bears have 10 days until their next game and 13 more until the game after that.

This and that

After missing 2 ½ games with an injured right calf, first- round pick Leonard Floyd was active, starting at outside linebacker.

Quarterback Jay Cutler spent the game in street clothes. He has practiced once — on a very limited basis — since spraining his right thumb ligaments Sept. 19.

Cornerbacks Tracy Porter ( knee) and Bryce Callahan ( hamstring) started, while rookies Deiondre’ Hall ( ankle) and DeAndre Houston- Carson were inactive. Receiver Eddie Royal ( toe), running back Jeremy Langford ( ankle) and nose tackle Eddie Goldman ( ankle) were held out, too, as expected.

As part of the “Color Rush” program, in which the teams playing Thursday wear monochromatic uniforms, the Bears wore their standard navy jerseys with their navy road pants. It was just the third game they’ve worn all navy. They lost the others against the Packers in 2002 and 2006.
