Mariota gets untracked as Titans romp

Marcus Mariota threw for 270 yards and two touchdowns to end his home struggles and the Tennessee Titans ( 4- 4) had their highest point total of the season in a 36- 22 victory over the Jacksonvil­le Jaguars ( 2- 5) on Thursday night.

Since the start of the 2014 season, the Titans’ home record is 3- 0 against the Jaguars and 1- 17 against everybody else. The Titans are 3- 8 in home games started by Mariota, a second- year pro out of Oregon.

Mariota was 18- for- 22 for 270 yards and had a 148.1 passer rating, the second- highest of his career. DeMarco Murray ran for 123 yards. The Titans gained a seasonhigh 494 total yards and won for the third time in four games.

Injury news

The father of Bills safety Aaron Williams says his son intends to wait until the offseason to determine whether to continue playing after sustaining his latest neck injury. Williams is out indefinite­ly after being blindsided and bowled over by a hit from Dolphins receiver Jarvis Landry.

Landry has been fined $ 24,309 for the illegal crackback block.

Seahawks quarterbac­k Russell Wilson expects to play against the Saints despite a pectoral injury suffered Monday night in a tie with the Cardinals.

Smith wants to return

Raiders pass rusher Aldon Smith has applied to the NFL to be reinstated from his one- year substance- abuse suspension. The ban ends on Nov. 17.
