BANK ROBBED IN LINCOLN SQUARE
The FBI is investigating a bank robbery Fridaymorning in the Lincoln Square neighborhood on the North Side.
The non- takeover robbery happened about 9 a. m. at the U. S. Bank branch at 4725N. Western Ave., FBI spokesman Garrett Croon said.
The suspect was described as a 5- foot- 9white man wearing a burgundy scarf and light tan coat, Croon said. Sun- TimesWire
Man gets 7 years for seeking sex from minors
A Lisle manwas sentenced to 7 years Friday for traveling, arranging and paying for a sexual encounter with two underage girls three years ago.
In March 2015, William Shyu, 32, drove to an Aurora hotel and met with a person he believed was the mother of two minor girls, according to a statement from the Kane County state’s attorney.
Shyu told the woman that he wanted sexual favors for 30 minutes with the two minors in exchange for $ 100 and then paid her in cash, prosecutors said.
He did not have any contact with minors during the incident. Sun- TimesWire
DCFS investigates death of 1- year- old boy
State childwelfare authorities are investigating the death of a 1- year- old boy Wednesday afternoon at a home daycare facility in the North Side Rogers Park neighborhood.
Officers were called at 12: 30 p. m. Wednesday for reports of an unresponsive child at the daycare facility in the 1500 block of West Pratt, according to Chicago Police.
The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is investigating allegations of neglect against the daycare provider, according to a spokeswoman. Sun- TimesWire
