Hill’s 2 TDs, strong ‘ D’ carry Chiefs

-

Tyreek Hill scored two touchdowns — one receiving and one on a punt return — and the Kansas City Chiefs held Derek Carr to 117 yards on 41 passes on their way to a 21- 13 victory Thursday against the visiting Oakland Raiders.

Charcandrick West added a touchdown run for the Chiefs ( 10- 3), who moved into a tie with the Raiders ( 10- 3) for first place in the AFC West. The Chiefs hold the tiebreaker by virtue of their two victories against the Raiders.

Hill scored on a 36- yard pass from Alex Smith and on a 78- yard punt return during a 21- point second quarter. He became the first rookie since Bears legend Gale Sayers in 1965 to score touchdowns rushing, receiving and on kickoff and punt returns in a season.

Latavius Murray ran for 103 yards and the lone touchdown for the Raiders.

RG3 back at QB for Browns

Quarterback Robert Griffin III is getting a second chance with the Cleveland Browns.

Griffin, who hasn’t played since suffering a broken bone in his left shoulder in the season opener Sept. 11, will start Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals as the winless Browns ( 0- 12) try to avoid becoming the second team in NFL history to go 0- 16.

Griffin recently was cleared for contact, and coach Hue Jackson selected him to be the starter after two practices following the Browns’ bye week. After Griffin was injured, veteran Josh McCown started three games and rookie Cody Kessler started eight.

Broncos’ Siemian practices

Denver Broncos quarterback Trevor Siemian went through his first full practice since spraining his left foot in an overtime loss Nov. 27 against the Chiefs.

Siemian said he was feeling better after participating in the Broncos’ walkthrough Wednesday and stepped up his activity. Coach Gary Kubiak, though, didn’t say whether Siemian or rookie Paxton Lynch would start Sunday against the Tennessee Titans.

Add a sack for Miller

Broncos linebacker Von Miller’s NFL- leading sack total jumped to 13 ½ after the league belatedly credited him with a strip- sack for a play late in the fourth quarter Sunday against the Jaguars.

Miller shoved Jaguars tackle Kelvin Beachum into quarterback Blake Bortles, forcing the ball free. Broncos linebacker Shane Ray recovered the fumble at the Jaguars’ 29 with 1: 27 left.
