A WHIRLWIND TWO DAYS FOR THE WHITE HOUSE’S NEWEST OCCUPANTS

President- elect Donald Trump has a busy 48 hours of inaugural-related activities, highlighte­d by his swearing- in as the 45th president of the United States at noon Friday. Trump press secretary Sean Spicer announced the official schedule Thursday. All times are Eastern and subject to change — except for the oath of office, which is mandated by the Constituti­on.

FRIDAY

8: 30 a. m.: Trump, Vice President- elect Mike Pence, their Cabinet nominees and their families and friends will attending a church service at St. John’s Episcopal Church, known as “the church of the presidents” because every president since James Madison has attended services there.

9: 30 a. m.: Trump, Pence and their families will attend a tea hosted by President and Mrs. Obama on the South Portico of the White House.

10 a. m.: President Obama and Vice President Biden will escort their successors to the Capitol for the inaugurati­on.

11 a. m.: The inaugurati­on program begins.

Noon: Pence will be sworn in as vice president, followed by Trump’s oath of office as president. Trump will deliver his inaugural address.

1 p. m.: Trump, Pence and their wives will attend a Joint Congressio­nal Inaugural Committee luncheon at the Capitol. 2: 30 p. m.: Trump and Pence will attend a military review at the East Front of the Capitol, and then parade down Pennsylvan­ia Avenue to the White House.

3 p. m.: Trump and Pence will attend the Inaugural Parade in stands just outside of the White House. Afterward, he will work in the White House, where he may sign some executive orders.

7 p. m.: Trump, Pence and their wives will attend the Liberty and Freedom Ball at the Washington Convention Center, followed by the Military Ball at the National Building Museum.

SATURDAY

10 a. m.: Trump, Pence and their families will attend the National Prayer Service at the Washington National Cathedral.
