3- 6 inches of snow could be on the way
The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch starting Monday morning, predicting that up to 6 inches of snow could fall over the Chicago area.
Snow could begin falling just after midnight Sunday and continue through Monday evening, the weather service forecasted. Between 3 and 6 inches of snow were expected across the Chicago area and northwestern Indiana.
Temperatures will drop to about 27 degrees Sunday night, with a high in the 30s expected on Monday.

5 hospitalized over carbon monoxide levels
Five people, including three children, were hospitalized Saturday afternoon after getting sick from high carbon monoxide levels in an Austin neighborhood building on the West Side.
Firefighters were called about 2: 30 p. m. to the building in the 4900 block of West Congress where the three boys and two men were experiencing symptoms from elevated carbon monoxide levels, according to Chicago Fire Department Chief Juan Hernandez.
The two adults and three children were all in serious condition at hospitals. The cause was under investigation, Hernandez said.

2 shot in Logan Square
Two people were wounded in a shooting Saturday afternoon in the Logan Square neighborhood on the Northwest Side.
Just after 3 p. m., a 17- year- old girl and a 22- year- old man were walking in the 3400 block of West McLean when someone approached them and fired shots, according to Chicago Police.
The girl was shot in her abdomen, and the man was shot in the buttocks, police said. Both were taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where their conditions were stabilized. No one was in custody.

Woman fatally struck by van near Chinatown
A woman was fatally struck by a van Saturday morning near Chinatown on the South Side, police said.
The 2005 Ford van was driving north about 8: 10 a. m. in the 1900 block of South Tan Court when it hit the 45- year- old woman, who was crossing the street, according to Chicago Police. The van then hit another vehicle in traffic before coming to a stop.
The woman was identified as Wen Juan Wang, who lived in the same block, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office. The driver remained at the scene, police said.
