LAKEFRONT PERCH: SOUTHWEST MICHIGAN: Tackle Haven: Perch ‘‘ on fire’’ in 32 feet south of St. Joseph between The Chalets and Churchill Farms. CHICAGO: Henry’s: Most productive is south end of Burnham/ Northerly Island. Park Bait: A few early in the morning at Montrose. NORTHWEST INDIANA: Slez’s: Perch day- today. When good, best in 20 to 30 feet west of Burns Ditch and east of Donut toward Michigan City.

AREA LAKES: Bluegills in weed pockets or outside weed lines are top bite. Henry’s: West Side lagoons are stocked with catfish. AREA RIVERS: Receding off high or flood levels. Significan­t rain forecast again forWednesd­ay night. If fishing the high water, use caution and fish eddies and pockets tight to shore. CHAIN O’LAKES: As of Tuesday, all sections are closed to boating.

DELAVAN/ GENEVA, WISCONSIN: GENEVA: Arden Katz: Decent bass in 17 to 20 feet on points or secondary points. Dave Duwe: Bluegills are top bite; best on outside weed edge in 18 to 22 feet. Walleye are very good at night on weed flats in 12 to 15 feet. Largemouth are going in 15 to 18 feet; best by 700 Club. DELAVAN: Duwe: High water contributi­ng to tough bite. For largemouth, try by Lake Lawn Lodge or Del Mar.

LAKEFRONT: Perch at top. CHICAGO: Park Bait: Some drum at Montrose. Henry’s: Drum from 2 to 10 pounds being caught on outside ( lakeside) of harbors. Capt. Bob Poteshman: Slowed, but some salmon in 70 to 100 feet straight off downtown. Lakers in 100 to 120 feet, especially north toward wreck. WAUKEGAN: Ted Boska: Night fishing producing good kings. Otherwise, it’s lakers in 180 feet with some steelhead higher. NORTH POINT: Poteshman: Some kings, but sketchy; early mornings and evenings are best. Other fish going from 130 to 260 feet, depending on day.

NORTHERN WISCONSIN: MINOCQUA: Kurt Justice: Crappie ( in cabbage in 8 to 14 feet, better on flowages than lakes), largemouth ( topwaters), smallmouth ( drop- shotting deep gravel humps) and bluegills ( 8 to 10 feet on weed edges) are good to very good. Walleye ( better on bigger lakes in low light, best on redtails when available) and muskie ( topwaters at dusk or large- bladed bucktails) are fair to good.

NORTHWEST INDIANA: Perch at top. Slez’s: Steelhead good in Trail on spawn sacs, shrimp or spinners. Mixed bag ( trout/ salmon) trolling in 90 to 110 feet straight out of Burns Ditch toward New Buffalo, Michigan.

ST. JOSEPH, MICHIGAN: Perch at top. Tackle Haven: Good coho, lakers, kings and steelhead in 90 to 115 feet in top half of column.

SHABBONA: Lakeside: Catfish are good. Topwaters taking bass. Aaron Sands and clients catching walleye, including a 26.5- incher, on crawlers or leeches on drop- offs and rock piles. Crappie best on cribs and brush piles. Water near normal and clean.
