Henson hospitalized, will miss dual honor
Former Illinois and NewMexico State coach LouHenson— the alltime wins leader at both schools — won’t be at the United Center when the teams meet Saturday night. Henson, who was to be honored before the game, was hospitalized Thursday in Champaign, according to the Illinois athletic department, with the Champaign News- Gazette reporting he’s being treated for a lung infection.
Henson, who turns 86 on Jan. 10, has been battling cancer- related issues for 14 years, the school said.
He had planned to attend the game with nearly 40 family members and reconnect with more than 100 of his former players. He had appeared at a luncheon Monday and a news conference Tuesday in Champaign before becoming ill.

Investigation of Panthers owner
Jerry Richardson, the 81- yearold founder and owner of the Panthers, is under investigation for undisclosed allegations of workplace misconduct, with the team saying that former White House Chief of Staff Erskine Bowles, a minority owner in the team, is overseeing the investigation by a Los Angelesbased law firm.
† Vikings left tackle Riley Reiff ( ankle) and tight end Kyle Rudolph ( ankle) are doubtful for the game Sunday against the Bengals. Coach Mike Zimmer didn’t think Rudolph would play, but he held out hope for Reiff.
† The Broncos put quarterback Trevor Siemian on injured reserve with a shoulder injury he suffered Thursday against the Colts.
Silencing allegation vs. ESPN
Former ESPN personality Adrienne Lawrence is accusing the network of trying to silence her and other women who assert they were subjected to a sexually hostile work environment. Lawrence made the accusation in a tweet after ESPN published a friendly text message exchange between her and anchor John Buccigross, whom she had accused of misconduct with, among other things, unsolicited shirtless photos and inappropriate nicknames for her.
Wolves pour it on in third
