Woman, 18, wounded in shooting

A woman was shot Tuesday evening in the West Woodlawn neighborho­od on the South Side. The 18- year- old was involved in an argument at 7: 08 p. m. in the 6600 block of South Champlain when someone walked up and fired a shot into her car, according to Chicago Police. She suffered a gunshot wound to her pinky finger and was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center in good condition, police said. A suspect was taken into custody, police said, and charges were pending.
