Tenth- seeded Sloane Stephens and 13thseeded Madison Keys set up an all- U. S. women’s semifinal with straight- set victories Tuesday at the French Open in Paris. Stephens rolled past 14th- seeded Daria Kasatkina 6- 3, 6- 1, and Keys fought past
Yulia Putintseva 7- 5, 6- 4. The two played in the U. S. Open women’s final in September, with Stephens winning in straight sets.
The first two men’s semifinalists also were determined. Seventh- seeded DominicThiem walloped second- seeded Alexander Zverev, who had played three five- set matches in a row, 6- 4, 6- 2, 6- 1 and will play little- known

Skins to give rings to ’ 87 replacements
The Redskins will honor their 1987 replacement team that won all three games it played by giving them Super Bowl rings next Tuesday. The team will hold a ceremony at its practice facilitywith replacement players and then- general manager Charley Casserly.
It’s an unusual move, considering how divisive the replacement games were during the NFL players’ strike that season. But the replacements helped the Redskins go 11- 4 overall — one game was canceled by the walkout— on their way to winning the Super Bowl against the Broncos. Giants general manager Dave Gettleman, 67, has lymphoma and soon will begin treatment but is encouraged by the prognosis.
Gettleman, who was hired in the offseason to replace fired Jerry Reese, released a statement that said he recently ‘‘ underwent an annual physical, during which it was discovered I have lymphoma. . . . The doctor’s outlook for the treatment and the prognosis is positive, and so am I.’’
Islanders’ Lamoriello fires GM, coach
Islanders president of hockey operations Lou Lamoriello fired general manager Garth Snow and coach Doug Weight and named himself GM. The Islandersmissed the playoffs eight times in Snow’s 12 seasons as GM, andWeight was 59- 49- 14 in 1 ½ seasons.
Justify draws No. 1 post for Belmont
Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes winner Justify drew the No. 1 post for the Belmont Stakes on Saturday and was made the early 4- 5 favorite as he goes for the Triple Crown against nine other horses.
