Butler rejects T-wolves’ offer
The Timberwolves’ Jimmy Butler turned down a four-year deal worth $100 million to try to make even more money next summer, when the league’s salary cap is expected to rise. Butler also declined a four-year deal worth close to $44 million with the Bulls before the 2014-15 season.

Chapman, Kluber out of ASG
Yankees closer Aroldis Chapman and Indians ace Corey Kluber pulled out of the All-Star Game because of injuries. Chapman was replaced by Astros starter Charlie Morton and Kluber by Rays starter Blake Snell.

Sky suffer 5th loss in 6 games
Allie Quigley scored 17 points, but the Sky lost 88-72 to the Washington Mystics for their fifth defeat in the last six games. The Mystics opened up a 56-35 lead in the third quarter.
◆ Michael Kim took a four-shot lead at the John Deere Classic in Silvis, which was suspended twice because of weather concerns. Kim was 16 under through 35 holes.
◆ Scott Parel grabbed a onestroke lead in the Constellation Senior Players Championship in Highland Park, shooting a 6-under 66 to reach 11 under for the tournament.
