Butler’s comment about his wife irritates Wade
Jimmy Butler and Dwyane Wade were once tight teammates on the Bulls, but that relationship has its boundaries — as Butler learned in a very public way this week.
Wade’s wife, Gabrielle Union, posted a racy photo Thursday on Instagram that prompted an all-caps response from Butler that spoke volumes: “WELL DAMN!”
Probably not the best decision when discussing a former co-worker’s wife. Wade wasted little time with his reply: “MINE!”
The discussion didn’t end there. Butler posted a video on his own account and wrote: “The good, the bad, and the ugly.” Wade weighed in, posting: “Put well damn in caps on my wife photo again and you’re gonna see what the good, the bad and the ugly is like.”
Butler quickly retreated, posting, “well that escalated quickly,” before saying, “point noted.”
Butler’s late posts indicated he still planned to attend a barbecue with Wade and maybe even Union.
NOTE: The Bulls confirmed the times for their preseason schedule, including the opener against the Pelicans on Sept. 30.
The schedule looks like this: Sept. 30: vs. Pelicans, 6 p.m.
Oct. 3: at Bucks, 7 p.m.
Oct. 8: at Hornets, 6 p.m.
Oct. 10: vs. Pacers, 7 p.m.
Oct. 12: vs. Nuggets, 7 p.m.
All games will be televised by NBC Sports Chicago and broadcast on 670-AM.
