Hyka gives Wolves the game-winner
Forward Tomas Hyka’s goal midway through the third period made the difference as the Wolves snapped the Iowa Wild’s 10-game point streak with a 5-4 win Friday night in Des Moines.
Wolves forward Tyler Wong had his first twogoal game as a pro while Hyka, forward Daniel Carr and defenseman Nic Hague also scored for the Wolves (12-9-2-1). Forward Keegan Kolesar had two assists and goalie Max Lagace (6-5-1) had 22 saves. The Wild (13-5-4-2) got two goals from Mitch
McLain as they answered each of the Wolves’ first four goals, but they couldn’t score again after Hyka’s redirect of a shot by Dylan Coghlan with 9:51 left.
