Wisconsin ends Illinois’ winning streak at 4

Brad Davison scored 18 points and Khalil Iverson 16, and No. 22 Wisconsin (18-8, 10-5) held Illinois (10-16, 6-9) to 37.5 percent shooting in a 64-58 victory in Big Ten action in Madison, Wisconsin.

Ayo Dosunmu scored 13 points, Aaron Jordan 12 and Giorgi Bezhanishv­ili 10 for the Illini, who had a four-game winning streak broken and have lost 15 consecutiv­e games to the Badgers.

Michigan State forward Nick Ward had surgery on his broken left hand and is expected to be out for at least a few weeks. Ward, who is averaging 15.1 points and 6.7 rebounds, suffered the injury Sunday against Ohio State.

Former Arizona coach Lute Olson, 84, is in a hospital in Tucson, Arizona, after suffering a minor stroke last weekend.
