Safety Jenkins back to Saints for 4 years

Veteran safety Malcolm Jenkins agreed to a four-year, $32 million contract to return to the Saints.

Jenkins, 32, has played 11 seasons in the NFL — his first five with the Saints and last six with the Eagles, who declined to pick up his option for the 2020 season.

Last season, Jenkins started all 16 games for the Eagles and made or assisted on 81 tackles, including six tackles for losses and 2½ sacks. He also forced four fumbles and recovered one. He has 17 intercepti­ons but had none last season.

NT Pierce headed to Vikings

Former Ravens nose tackle Michael Pierce reportedly is close to agreeing to a three-year deal with the Vikings.

Pierce, 27, went from being an undrafted rookie from Samford in 2016 to one of the top young runstuffer­s in the league with the Ravens. His 151 tackles in that span are the third most among defensive tackles in the AFC North.

Lions add Trufant, Shelton

Cornerback Desmond Trufant reportedly agreed to a two-year, $21 million contract, including $14 million guaranteed, with the Lions.

The Lions also agreed to a two-year, $8 million contract with defensive tackle Danny Shelton.

Falcons get pass rusher Fowler

The Falcons filled a major need by reportedly agreeing to terms with pass-rusher Dante Fowler on a three-year, $48 million contract.

Atlanta generated just 28 sacks last season. Fowler had 11½ sacks with the Rams last season after 3½ turbulent years with the Jaguars.

CB Harris to join Chargers

Longtime Broncos cornerback Chris Harris Jr. reportedly agreed to a two-year, $20.5 million contract to join the Chargers.

Harris, who is a four-time Pro Bowl selection, was part of the

Broncos’ Super Bowl 50 championsh­ip team.

Other deals

Tight end Marcedes Lewis reportedly agreed to a one-year, $2.25 million deal with the Packers.

♦ The Browns agreed on a deal with veteran linebacker B.J. Goodson, who started nine games last season for the Packers.

♦ Former Vikings defensive tackle Linval Joseph agreed to a two-year, $17 million contract with the Chargers.

♦ The Cardinals agreed to sign former Lions linebacker Devon Kennard to a three-year contract.

♦ The Colts acquired All-Pro defensive tackle DeForest Buckner for next month’s first-round draft pick, No. 13 overall.

♦ Veteran offensive tackle Andrew Whitworth agreed to remain with the Rams on a threeyear contract. The Rams also plan to sign former Lions defensive tackle A’Shawn Robinson to a two-year, $17 million deal.

♦ The Seahawks are bringing back defensive end Bruce Irvin and agreed to a two-year, $11 million contract with offensive tackle Brandon Shell.

♦ The Jaguars reached agreement on a three-year deal with former Cardinals defensive lineman Rodney Gunter.

♦ The Broncos acquired fivetime Pro Bowl defensive lineman Jurrell Casey from the Titans.

♦ The Bills signed former Redskins and Panthers cornerback Josh Norman to a one-year deal.

Brady sells tickets

Within hours of the Bucs closing in on a deal with quarterbac­k Tom Brady, the website selling season passes for 2020 showed more than 2,400 people in a queue waiting for an opportunit­y to make purchases.

Tampa Bay ranked 30th among 32 teams in home attendance, averaging 51,898 per game last season.
