Ex-Vikings DE Griffen signing with Cowboys

-

The Cowboys reportedly are signing former Vikings defensive end Everson Griffen to a one-year deal.

In 10 season with the Vikings, Griffen recorded 74½ sacks, including eight last season when he was named to the Pro Bowl for the fourth time.

Griffen should give the Cowboys a boost after last year’s sack leader, Robert Quinn (11½ sacks), signed with the Bears. He joins Demarcus Lawrence, Gerald McCoy, Tyrone Crawford and Aldon Smith on the defensive line.

Bills give McDermott multiyear extension

The Bills reportedly signed coach Sean McDermott to a four-year contract extension that runs through the 2025 season.

Before his arrival, the Bills had the longest playoff drought in the NFL and just two winning seasons since 1999. The Bills have made the playoffs in two of McDermott’s three seasons in charge.
