Packers adding QB Bortles
Regardless of whether quarterback Aaron Rodgers resolves his beef with the organization, the Packers are in the market for quarterbacks and reportedly signed veteran Blake Bortles to a one-year contract Wednesday.
Adding Bortles now would allow him to get up to speed with the offense and be ready to take snaps when the OTAs begin whether Rodgers is there or not.
Bortles’ career includes four seasons working under offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett when both were in Jacksonville.
Bortles, 29, has started 73 games and has a 24-49 record, all during his five-year stint with the Jaguars starting in 2014. He has a career completion percentage of 59.3% with 103 touchdowns and 75 interceptions.
It’s not known if the Packers have interest in any other veterans. Besides Rodgers and Bortles, 2020 first-round pick Jordan Love is the only other quarterback on the roster.

The Falcons and the Jaguars will be the home teams.
