Pats’ win streak hits 6

- Sun-Times wires

Mac Jones threw two touchdown passes, and the Patriots forced four turnovers en route to rolling past the visiting Titans 36-13 on Sunday for their sixth consecutive victory. The Patriots (8-4) are 6-1 this season against AFC opponents.

Jones completed 23 of 32 passes for 310 yards. Kendrick Bourne had both of the Patriots’ touchdown receptions and finished with five catches for 61 yards.

‘‘You’re not gonna win a Super Bowl now; you’re gonna win it in February,’’ Patriots defensive lineman Davon Godchaux said of the winning streak. ‘‘We’ve gotta keep that same mindset.’’

The Titans (8-4) stayed close early but couldn’t survive a slew of errors that included three fumbles by their running backs and an interception by quarterback Ryan Tannehill, who finished 11-for-21 for 93 yards and a touchdown.

The Titans — who played their fourth game in a row without injured running back Derrick Henry — got a career-high 131 yards rushing, including a 68-yard touchdown, from Dontrell Hilliard and 109 yards rushing from D’Onta Freeman, but each lost a fumble that set up points for the Patriots.

Bengals 41, Steelers 10

Joe Mixon rushed for a career-high 165 yards and two touchdowns, Joe Burrow passed for a touchdown and ran for another and the host Bengals (7-4) crushed the Steelers (5-5-1) to complete a sweep of the season series for the first time since 2009. The Bengals have won the last three games between the teams after losing 11 in a row.

The Bengals scored on their first four drives, and cornerback Mike Hilton returned an interception of Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger 24 yards for touchdown late in the second quarter to push their lead to 31-3 at the half.

The Bengals’ defense prevented Roethlisberger from getting into any real rhythm. He was picked off twice and sacked three times, and his 15-yard touchdown pass to Pat Freiermuth came late in the game.

Ravens 16, Browns 10

Justin Tucker kicked three field goals, and the Ravens (8-3) overcame four interceptions by Lamar Jackson to slip past the visiting Browns (6-6).

Jackson threw a 13-yard touchdown pass to Mark Andrews after scrambling out of trouble in the third quarter, but that was about his only highlight. He finished with a 46.5 passer rating.

Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield passed for 247 yards and a touchdown, but he completed only 18 of 37 passes and lost a fumble. He also got no help from the running game, which was held to 40 yards on 17 carries.

Dolphins 33, Panthers 10

Tua Tagovailoa completed 27 of 31 passes for 230 yards and a touchdown, Myles Gaskin scored on two short runs and the host Dolphins (5-7) forced Cam Newton into the worst statistical game of his career on their way to thumping the Panthers (5-7) for their fourth consecutive victory.

Newton was 5-for-21 for 92 yards, no touchdowns and two interceptions for a career-low 5.8 passer rating before being pulled in the fourth quarter.
