Naglewski , Kenneth E.
Kenneth E. Naglewski passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on December 2, 2021. Ken was born on June 30,1942 in Chicago, IL to his late devoted parents, Alphonse and Josephine (nee Sowa) Naglewski.
Ken is survived by his always loving wife of 55 years, Jeanne (nee Koepke), his proud children, Christine Naglewski, Roger Naglewski and Michele (Nathan) Nosari, cherished brother Terry (Kathy) Naglewski, treasured godson Mathew Naglewski, dearest cousins Bernadette Antos and Al (Colleen) Kuczynski, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Ken grew up in Chicago, IL and attended St. Rita High School and Roosevelt University. Raised in a family of veterans, Ken joined the Army and was stationed at
Fort Benning, Georgia and was a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division. He was a proud service member and American.
Ken began a career in accounting, earning his CPA, and advanced to turnaround crisis management consulting. After raising their family in Naperville, Ken and Jeanne eventually split their time between Naperville and Nashville, TN, where as COO, Ken led the turnaround and sale of State Industries. Ken then started his own firm, 180 Degree Consulting Group, where he continued to support and advise businesses in financial distress. With a lifelong ardent enthusiasm for solving problems, Ken worked right up until the pandemic.
Ken had a passion for his family (always had his flip phone on him ready to answer every call), Notre Dame football, Chicago Cubs, discussing natural and U.S. history, cooking for family and friends, studying Spanish, and spoiling his dogs. With an adventurous spirit, Ken loved to travel the US and abroad. He enjoyed physical activity and was an avid jogger, tennis player, and scuba diver. He was always game to ride the roller coaster, jump in the pool, or step up to bat in the backyard game of softball with his kids. He was over-generous with his love, time, gifts, and conversation, initiating conversation with everyone he came across in a day. He finished each conversation with “Thank you kindly.”
We invite all of Ken’s family and friends to join us in celebrating his life this Sunday, Dec 12th 4:00 – 8:00 pm at the Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville. We welcome stories, photos, and memories that family and friends would like to share. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, Dec 13th at 10:00 am at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 1450 Green Trails Drive, Naperville. Interment will follow at SS.
