Heat take 2-0 series lead against 76ers

Jimmy Butler had 22 points and 12 assists, and the host Heat beat the 76ers 119-103 for a 2-0 lead in the Eastern Conference semifinals. A 10-0 run in the fourth turned an eight-point Miami lead into an 18-point edge, sealing the win.

It wasn’t just the absence of Joel Embiid, though, that hurt the 76ers, as they were awful again from three-point range, shooting 8-for-30.

Nets swingman Ben Simmons will have back surgery on Thursday and require three to four months of rehabilitation.
