Sebastian Aho and Nino Niederreiter each scored twice and the host Hurricanes overcame the early loss of goalie Antti Raanta to beat the Bruins 5-2 for a 2-0 first-round series lead. Raanta left following a collision with David Pastrnak in the first period.
† Kirill Kaprisov had a hat trick and Joel Eriksson Ek had two goals to lead the host Wild to a 6-2 victory against the Blues to even their series at 1-1.
† Victor Hedman had a goal and three assists and the Lightning beat the host Maple Leafs 5-3 to even the first-round series.
