-

Iñiguez, Robert Ralph (Bob) was born in Chicago, IL on June 23, 1938. He died at the Kindred North Hospital on May 27, 2022 at the age of 83 after suffering the last two months from severe medical issues. Bob was the beloved husband of the late Mary Lopez, and loving stepfather to her two daughters, the late Victoria and Esther Lopez. Bob also had a step-son, the late Parker by a previous marriage. Bob was also preceded in death by his father, Florentino, Sr., mother Josephine, nee Ibarra, and two sisters, the late Serafina and Rosemary. Bob is survived by three brothers, Florentino, Jr. (Jody), Joseph (Marjorie) and Vinnie (Sheila), several nephews, nieces, grand nephews and nieces, and cousins. Bob is survived by stepdaughter Bobbie and her two children, Barbie and Billy Pipkin. He is also survived by two loving step-grand daughters, Xeregha Lopez and Sivanha Teague. Bob helped raise them after their mother, Esther and grandmother, Mary passed away. As a young man, Bob would be considered brash, a reckless sort of guy and getting into trouble with his family especially his younger brothers when he had too much to drink. He mellowed out later on in life. He married Mary Lopez and took care of her and her two ailing daughters until their passing in 2016. Bob was a jack-of-all-trades in his younger years. His last and favorite job was that of security guard at St. Anthony’s Hospital, Chicago. He was a member of Local No. 73 SEIU AFL-CIO. Bob loved living next door to Xeregha, Sivanha and the Teague Family. He frequented La Jacaranda Night Club on 26 th Street to listen to music, especially jazz. Bob loved children, listening to jazz, walking and shopping around his Little Village neighborhood. Before his recent illness, Bob resided at the Barton Senior Residence, an assisted living place on the west side of Chicago. He was a very witty guy and enjoyed the company of family and friends. Bob donated his body to Science Care. A memorial service will be planned for later this summer. Donations can be made in his memory to his favorite organization: Operation Smile at operationsmile.org/smile, call 1-888-6776453 or mail to: Gift Processing Center, P.O.
