Dennis Gaspich, 77, of Plainfield IL, formerly of Yorkville, and LaGrange, passed away on Sunday September 24, 2023. He was born on October 15, 1945, in Joliet, IL, to Mae nee Malnar and William Gaspich. Loving husband of Josephine nee Jarosewic, who he married on July 18 1970 at St. Nicholas of Tolentine Church in Chicago. Dear father of Sandy (Tom) Beris, Jessi Miller, Jamie (Kathryn) Gaspich and Terry (Ann) Gaspich. Doting grandfathe­r of Zander and Max Beris; and Eve, Elise, Sam and Harrison Gaspich. Dennis also leaves behind his sister Jacquie (Tom) Adamson of Arizona and brother-in-law Father Dan Jarosewic. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Dennis was preceded in passing by his parents, Mae and Bill Gaspich. Dennis grew up in Joliet, Illinois and attended Quigley High School. He went on to earn a bachelors degree in philosophy from St. Mary of the Lake and a masters degree in Guidance and Counseling from Northeaste­rn University. After working in education for several years Dennis switched careers and started his own business as a painter and did architectu­ral restoratio­n on the Monadnock building in Chicago. Dennis tried retirement and decided that it did not suit him, so he got a job working part time at Target in order to stay active. In lieu of flowers donations to the Lewy Body Dementia Associatio­n or the American Cancer Society would be appreciate­d. A Visitation will be held on Sunday October 1, 2023, from 1PM to 5PM at Friedrich Jones Funeral Home and Cremation, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville, IL 60540. Mass will be celebrated on Monday October 2, 2023, at 10:30 AM at St Raphael Catholic Church, 1215 Modaff Rd, Naperville, IL 60540. Burial will take place at Resurrecti­on Catholic Cemetery & Mausoleums in Justice, IL.
