Curry back, hits 27 in loss to Pistons

Blake Grif­fin scored 26 points and An­dre Drum­mond added 16 points and 19 re­bounds as the Pistons ex­tended their win­ning streak to five games with a 111-102 vic­tory over the vis­it­ing War­riors on Satur­day night.

Stephen Curry re­turned af­ter missing 11 games with a strained groin and scored 27 points on 10-of-21 shoot­ing. He went 3 of 9 from 3-point range. Curry missed his first three shots, all 3-point­ers, but then got his rhythm.

Kevin Du­rant scored 28 points for the War­riors. ■ Kawhi Leonard scored 34 points and the Rap­tors won their eighth straight, stop­ping the Cava­liers 106-95. The Rap­tors ran their record to a league-best 20-4 de­spite missing All-Star Kyle Lowry, out with a back in­jury . ... Gor­don Hay­ward scored a season-high 30 points to help the Celtics beat the Tim­ber­wolves 118-109 for their third straight win . ... Em­manuel Mu­diay scored 28 points and rookie Kevin Knox had a ca­reer-high 26 to lead the Knicks past the Bucks 136-134 in over­time.
