Ex-in­tern ac­cused of sex­ual as­sault gets pro­ba­tion

A woman who was a vol­un­teer high school in­tern when she was ac­cused of hav­ing an in­ap­pro­pri­ate re­la­tion­ship with a stu­dent pleaded guilty Fri­day in DuPage County to a mis­de­meanor bat­tery charge, ac­cord­ing to court records.

In a ne­go­ti­ated plea, El­iz­a­beth Flint, 22, of Lom­bard, ad­mit­ted guilt to the re­duced charge in re­turn for prose­cu­tors drop­ping felony sex as­sault counts lodged against her in May 2018.

She has been placed on two years of pro­ba­tion and or­dered to serve 10 days on the DuPage County sher­iff ’s work pro­gram de­tail.

Flint, who was work­ing as a vol­un­teer in­tern at Glen­bard East High School, was charged last year af­ter au­thor­i­ties said she sex­u­ally as­saulted a 17-year-old stu­dent in April 2018 at the stu­dent’s home.
